City of Windsor Active Transportation Master Plan
In July 2019, the City of Windsor approved a new active transportation plan that proposes that the city widen and pave sidewalks, create protected bike lanes and a minimum grid downtown, among other recommendations. What recommendations would you like to see implemented first? The ATP will be the roadmap that defines cycling infrastructure for the next 20 years.

Preparing for Windsor’s Active Transportation Plan
September 2018 – Bike Windsor Essex worked hard to prepare for the new Active Transportation Plan (ATP). It was critical that the opinions, suggestions and voices of the whole community be echoed in the city’s new AT plan. CWATS Active Transportation Master Plan 2012
Over the next 15 years, CWATS will link seven local municipalities with an active transportation network spanning some 800 km. The County of Essex has partnered with seven local municipalities, the Essex Region Conservation Authority, the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, neighbouring municipalities and the Ministry of Transportation Ontario to build a cycling and pedestrian network that improves lives and unites communities. Leamington Active Transportation Plan
The Leamington AT Plan will be used as a blueprint and implementation guide for Leamington staff. The plan focuses on pedestrian and cycling improvements both on and off-road and provides a framework for increasing active transportation and recreation throughout the municipality. Lasalle Transportation/Active Transportation Master Plan
The Lasalle Transportation/Active Transportation Master Plan has been completed and was presented to Council at the January 14, 2020 council meeting and formally approved and adopted at the January 28, 2020 council meeting.
