I've spent much of the last ten years working with digital innovation in corporations and communities on the web. In that time I've learned that change is something that has to be underwritten by reality. You can't 'train' someone to be social by teaching them to use tools, they need to practice it by being social. You can't shift an organization by throwing money or good ideas at it, you need to understand it, and your innovations have to offer solutions to problems that exist or expand existing possibilities along lines that the company can support and sustain. I have alot of ideas, but ten years of experience has taught me to use them effectively.
I'm looking for a few good clients. People who are perhaps suspicious of the change that is being marketed to them as 'the digital economy' but still realizing that they are going to have to do something about it. I want to work with a couple of good organizations that want to look deeply at where they are going, at who they are, and then create plans for making their online presence one that is supported from the ground up.
Most importantly I'm looking for clients who are see the value in people, the value in open collaboration, and the potential for creativity implicit in all this connectedness.
